Vacation Bible School (VBS)Vacation Bible School (VBS) is our summer children’s outreach ministry. The two-fold goal of VBS is to introduce Christ as Savior to all children participating and nurture and encourage each child as they grow in their relationship with the Lord. VBS is typically held during the first full week of August and in recent years has ministered to more than 100 area children from age five through the sixth grade. |
AWANA Youth ClubsWednesdays at Memorial are bustling with fun, God-honoring activity! Children age 3 through the 6th grade meet from 6:30 – 8:15 PM throughout the school year (Sept. – April). |
Ministering to Children
Memorial has made ministering to children and youth a priority. Beginning with a well-staffed nursery program through a growing and vital ministry to teens, Memorial has something to offer every child. |
Children’s Sunday SchoolOur dedicated teaching staff leads young learners, beginning at age 2 through grade 6, using a curriculum based on strong doctrine, sound educational principles, with an emphasis on biblical truths appropriate for each age level. Our program for children meets each Sunday concurrently with the Adult Discipleship Hour at 9:00 AM. |
The Mission of AWANA
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15, NIV)
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed The club’s mission is to “reach boys and girls with Awana the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.” Games, Bible lessons and memorization, achievement awards, and special events create an environment of growth and enthusiasm.
Our club features a Bible memory program which offers awards and incentives for learning. Children enjoy an active game time featuring fun activities unique to AWANA Clubs. Special family-centered activities are also offered throughout the year. In this audio recording, Tim Thomas, AWANA Missionary to Southern Wisconsin, explains the importance of this children’s ministry in today’s post-modernistic culture. |

Baby and Toddler Nursery
Our nursery is designed to care for infants and toddlers through the age of three, and to provide parents with peace of mind while worshiping with the congregation. Nursery care is provided during the Sunday morning worship service and most special events.
The nursery is staffed with caring volunteers who are focused on helping children to feel loved and accepted. It is our goal to see that each child’s personal needs are met as he or she experiences God’s love through us. |
